Atmospheric Science

Atmospheric Science is the study of weather and climate. This highly interdisciplinary specialization focuses on meteorological fields including air quality, environment, climate change, weather monitoring & instrumentation, and consulting.

Combined Major in Science

This structured program requires significant discipline breadth, but also gives you increased flexibility to take a greater number of courses. You'll acquire conceptual skills, research skills, communication skills, and collaborative skills as you develop strong foundational knowledge in the sciences.

Combined Majors in Statistics

These combined major programs emphasize the role of statistics within the general framework of problem solving, and help you develop an understanding of the concepts of observation, hypothesis, evidence, and validation. You can complement your studies with a combined major in Economics, Computer Science, or Mathematics.

Computer Science (BSc)

Faculty of Computer Science

Learn how to use and improve computers while you explore topics such as databases and operating systems, software engineering, security, web development, and numerical methodology. Computer Science gives you a thorough grounding in computer software design, and a broad choice of other studies in computing. You’ll take courses like “Machine Learning and Data Mining,” “Parallel Computation,” and “Advanced Algorithms Design and Analysis.”

Mathematical Sciences

Study subjects such as differential calculus, mathematical proof, matrix algebra, and much more as you establish a solid foundation in the mathematical sciences. You can emphasize mathematics, statistics, computer science, or any combination of the three to tailor your degree to your interests and career goals.

This program emphasizes the role of statistics within the general framework of problem solving, and helps you develop an understanding of the concepts of observation, hypothesis, evidence, and validation. You'll learn more about critical statistical reasoning, with emphasis on the development of computational, mathematical, and communication skills, both oral and written.
